My Story

Hi! My name is Connor Miranda. I'm an account guy actively seeking a full-time gig at a creatively-driven agency in the New York City area. In May 2017, I graduated from the VCU Brandcenter with a master's degree in Creative Brand Management. Since then I've been freelancing while I search for a permanent role.

A lot of people ask me why I want to be an account guy. It's definitely not the most glamorous job in the industry. It's all work and no fame. It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it. I want to be that someone. I want to be the person who helps both the agency and the client achieve business goals. I want to be the glue that holds a team together. I want to be the guy who can wear a lot of different hats while being a consistent, reliable resource for both the agency and the client.

I grew up in a military family, so attention to detail and ambition were instilled in me at an early age. In fact, I originally wanted to be a doctor, but during my sophomore year of college I realized that my skills were best suited for caring for brands, not humans. I decided to pursue a career in branding the day I saw Chipotle's "Back to the Start" TV spot for the first time. Ever since then I've been obsessed with crafting meaningful connections between people and brands.

I enjoy my time outside of work too. On a Saturday morning, you can find me eating a delicious bagel from Wonder Bagels or spending quality time with my two cats, Sidney and Marvin. On a Saturday afternoon, you can find me interpreting abstract art at the MoMA or doing something more active like playing tennis or basketball. On a Saturday night, you can find me having a drink with friends or binge watching Netflix in my comically small apartment.
